Elbow Injuries, Surgical Procedures, and Information

Many treatments exist for elbow conditions causing pain or problems. Baseball players, and overhead athletes, may have injured a ligament (“Tommy John”) that needs evaluation and possibly Tommy John surgery by an elbow specialist. Tennis elbow hurts the outer or lateral elbow and frequently a series of nonsurgical treatments is successful. Arthroscopic or minimally invasive elbow surgery can be used to treat bone spurs, early arthritis, or a stiff elbow. Fractures or severe arthritis can be corrected with surgery as well.
